Prayer Update

Updates

For all of you who have expressed a desire to stay informed with our progress towards church planting and share in the journey through prayer, here are a few updates.

1. Soil Prep:

We are Praying that God would continue to pave the way towards church planting through the preparation of the region for this plant.  We have already seen indications of his work as we have a growing list of contacts that will be engaged as we move towards the first phase of launch in the fall.  We are prayerfully hoping to launch four house churches in the four corner of the region as early as September.  Please join us in prayer for this effort.

2. Teamwork:

The task of translating a church planting dream into reality is much more than one man can accomplish on his own.  I am thankful for the team that God is assembling and am confident that the assembly is not yet complete. Please pray that God would assemble his team and that we would have the opportunity to connect with and develop these partnerships.  I will begin "field work" with a few partners in the coming weeks as we begin to establish connections, relationships, and become more acquainted with the community.  Please pray for this team effort.

3. Fund Raising:

Fund Raising is foreign territory to us at this point but a necessary and valuable part of the journey towards church planting.  Funds are clearly necessary in the planting of a new church as ministers and ministry require finances to accomplish the mission.  The planters work is no doubt of great value as new churches are the most effective evangelistic strategy in North America.  This process is also valuable for the planter and supporters as it creates a very significant partnership for the kingdom and an opportunity for many to participate in the harvest through the investment of finances, prayer, time, and networking for the kingdom of God.  We began the task of fund raising this month and are prayerfully hoping to complete the task this spring.  We are confident that God can and will provide and are thankful for the opportunity to share this opportunity with others.  Please pray that God would go before us and provide the needed resources in a timely manner so that we might transition to the field and devote ourselves fully to the task of planting.
